Gianluca Manzetti
Gianluca Manzetti is a director and writer working in film industry, fashion, music and advertising. Born and raised in Italy, living between Rome and Milan.
After graduating from Classical Studies at high school, he graduated in History and Criticism of Film in Rome with a thesis on David Cronenberg’s masterpiece Videodrome. In the meantime he worked as assistant director with Stefano Sollima, Ferzan Ozpetek, Simon West, Sergio Castellitto and Giovanni Veronesi while in his spare time he directed his works and trained as a screenwriter studying with Robert McKee, Lidia Ravera, Ivan Cotroneo and working with Luca Vendruscolo.
In 2015 he interrupted his career as an assistant to devote himself full time to his career as a director, author and screenwriter by writing and directing award-winning short films, fashion films, commercials and music videos.
In 2019 he worked as second unit director on the feature film Dampyr produced by Eagle Pictures, Sergio Bonelli and Brandon Box.
